On 12-18, Ryan Whites Lawyers responded to Mike Huckabee's refusal to retract his statement 15 years ago that people living with AIDS should be isolated, the attorneys for Ryan White, a teenager who contracted HIV through a blood transfusion and died of AIDS-related illness in 1990, have written a letter to the editor of the Journal and Courier, an Lafayette and West Lafayette Indiana newspaper. The Florida Family Policy Council,associated with Focus on the Family, reports that they have obtained the necessary signatures for a ballot initiative that would amend the constitution to ban gay marriage. 612,000 signatures were obtained and the group is still collecting more. The State of Florida already has a law banning gay marriage so this is an attempt to bring out the intolerant conservative religious voters in the presidential election by countering rising blue tide in Florida to the republics. As you know Florida is the largest swing state in the country and the right wing will do anything to make sure Florida does not go to the Democrats. We all saw what happened during 2000 and expect more brown shirt tactics to follow. Heck, if you can't win on your ideas or record put some hate filled bull shit on the ballot. That will attract the cretins to vote for you.

I just read the Village Voice article that documented reports by international human rights organizations and an arm of the European parliament have accuumulated overwhelming evidence for Nuremberg style trial that may happens for the members of the Bush presidency. I would suspect in abstentia.

I apologise in advance if this diary is not very good or if it is a duplicate on this subject. This is my first diary and although I probably am considered by many here as a lurker,I have not participated too much in the Kos community. But I am trying to learn and desire to become quite active in order to enthusiasticaly help destroy the Republican party in 2008 and beyond. I also am quite fond of the pakalolo so if i go around and around, please be patient.
