We DO Have "Three Great Candidates"
Tue Jan 22, 2008 at 06:25:36 PM PDT
This is Duncan, 14, of Kids For Change. Recently, a front-page diary on Daily Kos proclaimed to the progressive community that we do not have three great Democrats. I may be too young to understand this, but I think it is clear we do. And as one of them is likely to get the DNC's nod, let's embrace him/ her today.
We all Won Last Night
Fri Jan 04, 2008 at 09:07:37 AM PDT
Last night, progressives won. Last night, Democrats won. And last night, my future won. Change candidates, Obama and Edwards, took the lead and showed our nation that the status quo is not acceptable. Obama, facing a state of nearly 96% white Americans, broke the barriers of discrimination and inspired many to forget racial tensions to vote for hope. Edwards, grossly outspent by the Obama Campaign 6:1, beat another campaign that outspent him 7:1 with a message of fighting corrupt greed. We showed the world, our party, and corrupt Democrats that our party is still committed to keeping our nation safe and expanding opportunity for every American. That commitment is reflected in an agenda that emphasizes the security of our nation, strong economic growth, affordable health care for all Americans, retirement security, honest government, and civil rights, and ready to take on the Republicans in 2008! Time to Lead- Overcoming the Two Americas
Sat Dec 22, 2007 at 02:51:30 PM PDT
This is Duncan, 14, of Kids For Change and Kids For Edwards. Under the current Administration, our country has become more divided than ever. There is an America for the privileged and the wealthy, and an America for the rest of us. There is a school system that serves the well off, and another for those who are left. There is an America of the working poor, who live from paycheck to paycheck, and Mitt Romney America of wealth. The working America is invisible to us, and this needs to be changed. (More)
The Whales Need Our Help, Edwards and Obama

When Edwards and Obama travel through the country, they talk about speaking for those who aren't spoken for. How about they speak for the unspoken whales for a chance? (Continued)
One Can Change America this Holiday Season
Thu Nov 22, 2007 at 08:10:42 AM PDT
This is Duncan, the 13-year old founder of Kids For Edwards and Kids For Change.
This holiday season is a time for us to take a break from the stresses that abound in our day-to-day lives and remember all the wonderful things that we have to be thankful for, and to reflect on those who might not be as fortunate.
Each one of us, in our way, can help change America for the better, whether it is through a political campaign or a food bank. Kids For Edwards is asking our kids to volunteer. (We are always asking our members to volunteer in the political process, but this time it is for America's hungry.) Gandhi once said, "You must be the change you want to see in the world," and that's the message we are adopting this season. (continued)
